2011-2012 BACK-TO-SCHOOL PACKET


Welcome back to Egan! We hope that you have had a fun and relaxing summer.

Again this year, the online back-to-school sign-up process has been customized for Egan and is powered by SSL-encrypted form builder software called Formsite. 

To complete the online forms, you must get the password from the letter or the BBC sent out by Mrs. Dyckman on August 2 and August 9, 2011, or you can send an email to egan_pta_president@eganschool.org providing the names of parents and children in your family for verification purposes.

The sign-up process should take about 15-20 minutes.

During this process, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Sign up to be a member of the PTA
  • Make a donation to Egan's Direct Donation Campaign
  • Order PE clothing (shirts and shorts are mandatory for PE)
  • Order a school yearbook
  • Make a donation to the sports boosters
  • Order extra directories
  • Sign up to volunteer at Egan
  • Link to:
    1. Egan's Hot Lunch vendor to order and pay for hot lunch
    2. The LAEF website to make a voluntary donation
    3. LASD's new electronic registration page to provide medical and emergency information.

In addition, you will be prompted to acknowlege that you and your child(ren) have read the Egan Handbook AND several school district policies. Therefore, to expedite the Back-to-School process, it is recommended you review these items prior to starting the Back-to-School sign-up process:

If you plan to order hot lunch, you will be directed to a separate site. This year, hot lunch service will begin on the first day of school and lunches may be ordered on a weekly (or as in the past, a quarterly) basis. Hot lunch orders for the first week of school must be placed by no later than midnight, August 12. Order hot lunch HERE.

One final note: After you have completed the Back-to-School sign-up, you'll need to print out a copy of your order summary and bring it to Schedule Day on August 12th, from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., with cash or a check, made payable to Egan PTA. Please note that you will also need to have completed the LASD Medical/Emergency forms on-line before Schedule Day. A link and family specific password will be sent to you no later than August 4 from LASD. Please look out for it. If you are unable to attend Schedule Day, please leave the Order Summary and check/cash in the school office no later than Friday, August 27th.
