"What will I need for my classes?"
So that students can come prepared on the first day, your teachers have put together the following lists. Most supplies are available at local stores. If you need assistance obtaining school supplies, please see Mr. McClain.
7th Grade Materials
- #2 pencils (2)
- mechanical pencils (3)
- colored pencils (12 colors)
- 1 red pen, 1 black pen, 1 blue pen, 1 green pen
- white-out
- highlighters in pink, yellow, green, and blue
- A Sharpie
- A scientific calculator
- A pencil pouch to put everything in
- lined paper
- mini stapler
- mini tape dispenser
- 1 thumb drive
BINDERS FOR:
- English (Okay to share binder with another class, but do have dividers and tabs)
- Math (can be shared—just tab effectively)
- Science (you also need a notebook)
- Social Studies
- PE/Health (folder)
- French
- Spanish (plus: one box tissues, one plastic sheet protector, one overhead pen)
- Elective—see below for physical education attire, Spanish 1, conversational Spanish, foods class, art class, band and orchestra, guitar, and chorus

Physical Education Attire
- Purchase PE clothes on Schedule Day (week before school starts) or the first week of classes.
- Egan PE shirt and shorts are required
- Egan sweatshirt, sweat pants, and/or tote bag are optional
- athletic shoes that enclose the entire foot, and tie or velcro securely

- mark clothes and bag with black permanent marker (caps: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME or FIRST INITIAL)
Spanish 1 and 2
- 1 box tissue (name on bottom) (bring during first week of school)
- 2 red overhead pens for correcting quizzes
- 5-6 sheet protectors
- dark blue, black, or purple pens for homework

Conversational Spanish
- 3-ring binder (may be small, soft-sided)
- 1 set of 5-cut dividers
- index cards (for flashcards)

Band and Orchestra Requirements
INSTRUMENTS
- an instrument to play in school and to practice at home (one instrument can be carried), with student name on the case. Students who play large instruments (cello, string bass, percussion, etc.) may be able to use a school-owned instrument at school, depending on availability
- students whose instruments require reeds or strings should always have extra reeds or strings in their cases
- cleaning materials should also be in the case
- instruments are not required on the first day of school
CONCERT CLOTHING
- Students must provide and wear the following for formal concerts, beginning in December:
- Girls: black dress pants or black floor-length skirt, white blouse, black shoes
- Boys: black dress pants, white shirt, black socks, black shoes
Guitar
INSTRUMENTS
- a guitar, preferably acoustic, but unplugged electric is acceptable
CONCERT CLOTHING
- Students must provide and wear the following for formal concerts:
- Girls: black dress pants or black floor-length skirt, white blouse, black shoes
- Boys: black dress pants, white shirt, black socks, black shoes
Chorus
CONCERT CLOTHING
- Concert clothes for chorus are the same as for band and orchestra.
