Welcome to Mr. Schneider's Science, Room 24

I would like to welcome you to my science classroom here on the Egan campus.

Overview

My name is Curtis Schneider and I have been teaching science at Egan since September 2001. Besides this web portal, I also have my own website separate from Egan.  Please visit Curt's Human Disease Website.  Recently, I was proud to learn that MSN Encarta listed my website as a reference on their Human Disease page. From the Human Disease Website you and the students can also access my assignment calendar.  There is a link to the assignment calendar clearly marked on the home page.

The Class

Seventh graders will be learning about select systems of the human body, cells, genetics, evolution and light. For an overview of what to expect for this class, please see my Back-to-School-Night slides (479 kb). Another good source of information is the current issue (136 kb) of The Schneider-Egan Gazette. For further details on course content, please see the course syllabus, which was handed out to parents on Back-To-School night.

For day-to-day classroom activities and homework, check out my classroom "Google Calendar". If you have not signed up to access it yet, click Subscribe to Google Calendar.

How to Contact Me

My classroom phone number is 650- 917-2243. Call any time of day or night to leave a voice mail. Email is also a great way for students and parents to keep in touch with me; I check daily, including weekends.

Note to Parents

Thanks parents, for being your child’s biggest supporter. If you'd like to help by donating items to our science department, please check out our wish list for what we currently need.

I’m looking forward to a great semester. Feel free to call me or send email at any time. As your child's science teacher, I am here to help in any way I can.
