Egan is an AMAZING school that focuses on all aspects of an adolescent and their development.  All adults on campus are familiar with the developmental assets of this age group and dedicate their passion for excellence in education to this unique set of students.  Understanding their unique qualities helps parents, students, and staff connect and create a meaningful learning environment. Our work in grounded in the educational research and work of Richard and Becky Dufour as a professional learning community. Egan is a top-performing school in the state of California and continues to see tremendous growth of our historically low performing students.  Egan’s mission to create a safe, caring, and supportive community where ALL students are empowered to learn at high levels while growing to be resilient, respectful and productive citizens in a dynamic global landscape is our foundation for making learning meaningful and relevant for students. In all subject areas, students engage in communication, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Participation as a teammate is a must and the skills necessary to engage in deep level work are developed through these hands-on, project-based, experiential, student-centered experiences. Students are well connected to the Egan community with many opportunities to engage with staff and one another through clubs, social events, dances, music concerts, assemblies, field trips, and extra-curricular activities.
