Yosemite Update – 8th Grade Families
We’re officially gearing up for one of our favorite Egan traditions our 8th grade Yosemite trip the week of October 12! We recently wrapped up our Parent Information Night and chaperone meeting, and the excitement is starting to build. This is such a memorable experience for our eighth graders and one that we hope to continue offering for many years to come.
A big thank you to the families who have already contributed toward the cost of this year’s trip. At this time, we are still approximately $15,000 short of the funding needed. If you have not yet made a contribution, we kindly ask you to consider giving whatever amount works for your family. Every contribution helps. If you have already donated and would like to make an additional gift, please reach out to Ms. Jacob in the front office. Sustainable funding is essential to ensuring that we can continue this experience for future generations of Egan students, and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our parent community.
A quick reminder as you begin preparing: families recently received an email with the packing list, trip information, and a look at what a typical day in Yosemite will be like. Students will need hiking boots for the trip. If your child does not have a pair, we have hiking boots available in the office for students to borrow. Be sure to take a look at the packing list now so your student is ready for Yosemite!
